The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 3,448 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Dec. 28. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 282,587 COVID-19 cases as 35,528 cases are active.
13 virus-related deaths were documented Monday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 2,383. Two of the newly reported deaths were Noble County women in the 65 or older age group, and a Washington County woman in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County saw an increase with 29 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 3,154 COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths and 2,588 recoveries. Therefor, there are around 536 active COVID-19 cases for Kay County. Posted below is data for Kay County communities.

OSDH is also reporting 1,658 new recoveries for Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 243,018 as of Sunday. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
As of Thursday, Dec. 24, health officials report that there have been 2,314,672 negative test results, 16,289 total hospitalizations and 1,729 Oklahomans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
As of Friday, Dec. 18, 2,253 vaccine doses have been administered in Oklahoma, and the state has received 33,150 doses.
