The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 445 new COVID-19 cases for Friday.
According to the situation report, Oklahoma’s seen 622,780 COVID-19 cases since early 2020. A total of 9,418 cases are active. The new cases 7 day average is 1,080. The CDC provisional death count is 10,616.
According to the latest data from Wednesday, October 6, Kay County has seen an overall total of 6,939 COVID-19 cases, 148 deaths and 6,609 recoveries. Kay County has 182 active COVID-19 cases.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 4,211,321 doses have been administered. This includes 2,255,807 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose and 1,901,780 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
