The Oklahoma State Department of Health 2,781 new COVID-19 cases since Friday. This includes 892 cases Saturday, 921 for Sunday and 968 for Monday. Oklahoma has seen 655,512 COVID-19 cases since early 2020 as there are currently 7,228 active cases. The new cases 7 day average is 787 and the CDC provisional death count is 11,675.
According to the latest data from Wednesday, November 9, Kay County has seen an overall total of 7,542 COVID-19 cases. In the last 30 days, the county has seen 376 new COVID-19 cases.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.
If you’re wanting to receive the vaccine, call the Kay County Health Department today to schedule your Covid-19 or flu shot today! KCHD announced early Tuesday that they also have pediatric Pfizer available for children ages 5-11. The KCHD phone number is (580) 762-1641.
As for the COVID-19 vaccine statewide, a total of 2,000,168 Oklahomans are fully vaccinated.
