The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,903 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Dec. 7. Oklahoma’s seen 218,389 COVID-19 cases overall as 31,742 cases are active.
An additional 15 virus-related deaths were documented to put Oklahoma death toll to 1,911. One death being a Payne County man in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County has 14 new COVID-19 cases for Monday, putting the county at 2,121 COVID-19 cases, 26 deaths and 1,745 recoveries. As for the active cases for Kay County, there are 290 for Ponca City, 30 for Blackwell, 27 for Newkirk and 21 for Tonkawa,
For new cases in local counties, there are 57 for Payne, 18 each for Osage and Washington, 16 for Noble, 13 for Pawnee, nine for Logan and three each for Garfield and Grant.

OSDH is also reporting 1,794 new recoveries on Monday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 184,736. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
As of Friday, Dec. 4, health officials report that there have been 2,008,829 negative test results, 13,371 total hospitalizations and 1,721 Oklahomans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
