The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,099 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Dec. 14. Oklahoma’s seen 239,767 COVID-19 cases overall as 35,163 cases are active.
A total of eight virus-related deaths were documented Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 2,072. None of the deaths were for local counties.
Kay County saw an increase with 16 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county to 2,429 COVID-19 cases, 27 virus-related deaths and 1,996 recoveries. For new cases in Kay County communities, there are 13 for Ponca City, two for Blackwell and one for Tonkawa.

As for new cases in local counties, there are 28 for Payne, 26 for Garfield, 16 each for Logan and Washington, 11 for Osage, seven for Noble, six for Grant and four for Pawnee.

OSDH is also reporting 2,020 new recoveries on Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 202,532. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
As of Friday, health officials report that there have been 2,091,366 negative test results, 13,969 total hospitalizations and 1,730 Oklahomans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
