OSDH reporting 1,101 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths and 474 recoveries for Monday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,101 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Sept. 20. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 77,908 cases as 12,019 cases are active.

Two additional virus-related deaths were documented Monday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 948. One was an Oklahoma County female in the 50-64 age group, while the other was a Rogers County male in the 65 or older age group.

Kay County saw an increase with 11 new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County at 511 cases, 13 deaths and 376 recoveries. As for the active cases in Kay County, there are 86 for Ponca City, 22 for Newkirk, seven for Tonkawa, six for Blackwell and two for Kaw City.

As for new cases in local counties, there are 28 for Garfield County, 23 for Payne County, 13 for Logan County, five for Osage County and one each for Grant and Noble counties.

Logan County – 410 cases/1 death/344 recoveries

Pawnee County – 243 cases/3 deaths/222 recoveries

Noble County – 141 cases/2 deaths/116 recoveries

Grant County – 40 cases/no deaths/30 recoveries

 

OSDH is reporting 474 new recoveries on Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 64,941. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 979,650 test results have returned negative. There have been 5,755 total hospitalizations as 516 people are currently hospitalized.
