The Kay County Sheriff’s Office has requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigate allegations of embezzlement.
Blackwell Journal Tribune reports that the acts were committed by the Treasurer of the Blackwell Softball Association, Kasey Cox. Kasey is the wife of Glenn Cox who resigned as Blackwell Mayor on Thursday.
OSBI was requested on October 5 and the investigation is ongoing.
