The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,946 new positive COVID-19 cases for Friday. Oklahoma’s seen 365,992 COVID-19 cases overall as 32,327 cases are active.
OSDH reports 47 new virus-related deaths. This includes a Kay County woman from Blackwell in the 65 or older age group, making it the 52nd virus-related death for the county. Other local deaths include two women and one male all from Logan County in the 65 or older age group. Another death was reported for a Washington County female in the 65 or older age group. It’s unknown as to whether or not any of the deaths occurred in the last 24 hours.
Kay County also saw 74 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 4,437 COVID-19 cases overall, 52 deaths and 3,934 recoveries. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

As for new COVID-19 cases on Friday in local counties, there are 91 for Payne, 35 each for Osage and Washington, 28 for Logan, 27 for Garfield, 15 for Noble, nine for Pawnee and five for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 3,343 new recoveries for Friday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 330,478. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
The latest report shows there have been 278,151 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 35,822 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 242,329. There have also been 315,875 prime doses allocated and 174,900 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Friday, there have been 2,674,361 total negative test results, 20,692 hospitalizations and 1,634 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There are 438 patients in ICU.
