The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting one new COVID-19 case for Kay County to bring the overall total up to 57. There are four active cases in Kay County at this time. Since March, seven virus-related deaths has occurred in Kay County.
As for other local counties, there are two new COVID-19 cases for Payne County who currently has three active cases. For more active cases, Garfield, Osage and Pawnee have two, and Logan County has one.
Statewide, there are 113 new positive cases of COVID-19 documented for Wednesday, putting the total of active cases in Oklahoma at 1,094. There have been 6,805 positive COVID-19 cases since testing started.
New data shows that two more virus related deaths occurred in Oklahoma, both occurring between May 28 and May 31. The death toll is now at 341:
- An Adair County male in the 65 or older age group.
- A Texas County male in the 65 or older age group.
The recovery total took a big jump on Wednesday as 112 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19, putting the recovery total at 5,711.
According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health on Wednesday, 201,047 test results overall have returned negative. There have been 1,003 hospitalizations with 136 patients currently hospitalized.
