A personal injury collision occurred at 6 p.m. Thursday evening along U.S. Highway 60, 0.5 miles west of Pawhuska in Osage County.
Linda Falk, 75, of Pawhuska was driving a 2017 Chevy Traverse eastbound on Highway 60 and started to slow down to make a left turn onto County Road 4251.
Chelsea Powell, 33, of Copan, Ok. was driving a 2006 Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Highway 60 as well. Powell approached Falk’s vehicle from the rear and did not stop, causing the impact. Falk’s vehicle then departed the roadway to the right. Powell’s vehicle departed the roadway to the left, coming to a rest in the ditch.
Falk was transported by Pawhuska EMS to o Pawhuska Hospital in Pawhuska before being sent to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. Falk was admitted in fair condition with head injuries.
Powell did not suffer any injuries. Powell did have two passengers with her, a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old. Their names are being withheld.
