The latest report from the Oklahoma State Department of Health on Thursday shows 41 new positive cases of COVID-19, putting the statewide total of cases at 6,270 with 1,034 cases active.
Locally, one new case was added for Osage County who’s total is back to 94. Pawnee County also has one new case to put their overall total at 30. There are no changes for Kay, Garfield, Grant, Logan and Payne counties.
As for active cases in the area, Osage County has four, Kay County with three, two for Garfield County and one each for Logan and Pawnee counties. There are currently no active cases for Grant, Noble and Payne counties.
Four more virus-related deaths were documented on Thursday, bringing Oklahoma’s death toll to 326. One death occurred since Wednesday, while the other three happened between May 22-26. This includes the following:
- An Oklahoma County man in the 65 or older age group.
- A Choctaw County woman in the 65 or older age group.
- A Jackson County woman in the 65 or older age group.
- A McClain County man in the 65 or older age group.
The number of recoveries took another big jump on Thursday as 101 more individuals have recovered from COVID-19, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total at 5,236.
OSDH also reports that 176,136 test results returned negative. This includes state testing and private lab testing since February.
