Oklahoma sees 695 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths and 435 recoveries for Sunday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 695 new positive COVID-19 cases for Sunday, Sept. 13. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 69,354 COVID-19 cases as 9,889 of those cases are active.

Six additional virus-related deaths were reported Sunday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 905. Health officials have not released information regarding the victims.

Kay County saw an increase with 15 new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County at 423 cases, 13 deaths and 315 recoveries. As for the active cases in the county, 72 are in Ponca City, eight in Newkirk, seven in Blackwell, five in Tonkawa and one in Kaw City. As for new cases in local counties, there are 39 for Garfield County, 23 for Payne County, six for Washington County, four each for Logan and Pawnee counties and one each for Grant and Osage counties.

Logan County – 359 cases/1 death/304 recoveries

Pawnee County – 233 cases/3 deaths/214 recoveries

Noble County – 129 cases/2 deaths/106 recoveries

Grant County – 32 cases/no deaths/28 recoveries

 

New data also shows that 435 new recoveries for Oklahoma on Sunday, putting the overall recovery total to 58,560. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 907,109 test results have returned negative. There have been 5,369 total hospitalizations as 509 people are currently hospitalized.
