Oklahoma sees 1,311 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend

There are no new COVID 19 related deaths being reported in the latest update from the state department of health on Sunday, and three deaths on Saturday. Oklahoma’s death toll is at 603.

The report shows 486 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, and 825 new cases on Saturday, bringing Oklahoma’s total number of active cases to 6,911.

Over the weekend, Kay County saw six new COVID-19 cases. Kay County has now seen 244 cases, 11 deaths and 200 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, Ponca City has 21, Tonkawa with five, Blackwell has four and Newkirk and Kaw City both with three.

As for new cases in surrounding counties, Garfield County saw the most with 32, Osage County with 26, Logan County has 18, Washington County County with 16, Payne County has 13, Pawnee County with three and two for Grant County.

OSDH is also reporting 1,051 new recoveries over the weekend, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 36,052. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
