The State of Oklahoma is now in Phase 2 of Gov. Stitt’s plan to reopen.
In Phase 2, the Safer At Home order continues to apply through the end of May for Oklahomans 65 and older or who are part of a vulnerable population. Stitt says that we should all continue to maintain social distancing and take steps to protect ourselves and others from COVID-19. Some of the highlights in Phase 2 include: Bars can reopen with diminished occupancy, Resuming organized sports and Resuming weddings and funerals. All of these will be under specific social distancing and sanitation protocols.
Stitt also says that it’s important that we remember that COVID-19 is still in the United States and still in Oklahoma. Stitt will continue to take this seriously, and reminds all Oklahomans that now is not the time to take the foot off the gas.
If the data continues to hold, Oklahoma will be able to move safely into the final stage of the reopening plan on June 1. The State will provide more guidance on Phase 3 in the coming days.
