It’s the later half of February, and that means it’s time for the Oklahoma High School State Wrestling Championship at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City! The State Championship will be this Friday and Saturday, February 22-23.
The championship will feature different wrestling talents from schools across Northern Oklahoma.
For the Ponca City Wildcats, Ethan Kemble, Shayden Trant and Spencer Schickram will be wrestling at the State Championship.
For the Tonkawa Bucs, Brayden Hampton, Simeon Shepherd and Dallin Hacker will be wrestling at the State Championship.
For the Newkirk Tigers, Dawson Guidry, Dayton Cary, Shane Pankey, Jarod Thompson, Ryan Locke and Austin Peri will be wrestling at the State Championship.
People from Northern Oklahoma also know how big the rivalry between Blackwell and Perry is, and both schools will see quite a few wrestlers at the State Championship.
For the Perry Maroons, Gabe Valencia, Ryan Smith, Logan Smith, Logan Patton, Dylan Avery, Reggie Redus, Brody Harbour, Jace Burdick, Kohl’s Owen, Brandon Speikers and Teaguen Wilson will be wrestling in the State Championship.
For the Blackwell Maroons, Mikey Riley, Karston Loveall, Tanner Botts, Caleb O’Dell, Drake Barbee and Aiden O’Dell will be wrestling in the State Championship.
