Oklahoma breaks record again for most COVID-19 cases reported in a single day

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 478 new COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma on Sunday, June 21. This breaks the previous record set last week for the most new cases reported in a single day for Oklahoma.

There have now been 10,515 cases since testing started, and 2,984 cases are active.

Locally, Payne County has 27 new positive COVID-19 cases, ten new cases for Osage County, two each for Noble and Logan counties and one each for Kay and Pawnee counties.

One virus-related death was documented by OSDH on Sunday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll at 369.

New data also shows that 117 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19, putting the state’s recovery total at 7,531.

  • Logan County – 28 cases/1 death/20 recoveries
