No new data for Sunday, but record-breaking 4,507 COVID-19 cases reported for Oklahoma on Saturday

While the Oklahoma State Department of Health did not release new data on Sunday, a record-breaking 4,507 COVID-19 cases were reported statewide in Oklahoma on Saturday. As the state has seen 136,258 COVID-19 cases, 19,790 cases are currently active.

Nine virus-related deaths were reported Saturday to bring Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,438. Two of the deaths were Osage and Garfield County men both in the 65 or older age group.

Kay County saw it’s highest amount of COVID-19 cases in a single day with 62, putting the county stats to 1,077 cases, 17 deaths and 868 recoveries.

As for new cases in local counties, there are 83 for Garfield, 70 for Payne, 50 for Washington, 34 for Logan, 30 for Osage, 19 for Noble, 14 for Pawnee and 10 for Grant.

Osage County – 1,515 cases/17 deaths/1,368 recoveries

Washington County – 1,507 cases/43 deaths/1,296 recoveries

Kay County – 1,015 cases/17 deaths/844 recoveries

Logan County – 973 cases/2 deaths/850 recoveries

Pawnee County – 384 cases/5 deaths/326 recoveries

Noble County – 258 cases/3 deaths/174 recoveries

Grant County – 140 cases/2 deaths/110 recoveries

 

OSDH is also reporting 1,803 new recoveries as of Saturday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 115,030. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
