One person was injured due to a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday night on Oklahoma 11, two miles west of Kaw City in Kay County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Adam L. Faul, 33, of Newkirk was driving a 2017 Honda Accord westbound on OK-11 when he failed to negotiate a right curve. The vehicle then departed the roadway to the left and impacted a tree which caused the vehicle to roll and land on its top.
OHP reports that Faul was airlifted to St. Francis in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.
The cause of the accident was listed as driving under the influence.
