The Oklahoma State Department of Health released vaccine information on Wednesday showing the vaccination data per county.
43.9% of the Kay County population has received the first dose of the vaccine and 36.6% of the population is fully vaccinated.
With school starting soon, students ages 12 and older that want to get the vaccine can get a walk-in appointment at the Kay County Health Department in Ponca City to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The second dose of the Pfizer can be received three weeks after the first dose. The Kay County Health Department is open weekdays from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Statewide, 3,484,925 doses of the vaccine have been administered. This includes 1,915,120 first doses and 1,600,177 Oklahomans fully vaccinated. If you’d like to receive the vaccine, schedule an appointment by going to vaccinate.oklahoma.gov.
