Less than 120 new COVID-19 cases statewide on Tuesday, One new death for Kay County

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 111 new COVID-19 cases for Tuesday. Oklahoma’s seen 424,999 COVID-19 cases overall as 12,531 are active. The number of statewide active cases is 214 less than Monday.

OSDH documented 56 new virus-related deaths on Tuesday as they are working on the backlog, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 4,534. This includes a Kay County female in the 65 or older age group, two Osage County females where one was in the 50-64 age group and the other in the 65 or older age group and a Pawnee County male in the 65 or older age group.

Kay County saw two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, putting the county at 5,086 COVID-19 cases, 81 deaths and 4,853 recoveries. There are 152 active cases in Kay County, which is three less than Monday. Data for local communities is posted below:

As for new cases in local counties, there are 11 for Washington and four for Logan. There are no new COVID-19 cases for Payne, Garfield, Osage, Pawnee, Noble and Grant counties. Data for local counties is posted below:

OSDH is reporting 269 new recoveries for Tuesday. Oklahoma’s recovery total is now at 407,934. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 839,401 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 293,397 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 546,004. There have also been 568,735 prime doses allocated and 400,925 boost doses allocated.
