The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 3,732 new positive COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, Nov. 25. Oklahoma’s seen 184,342 COVID-19 cases overall as 33,317 cases are active.
16 additional virus-related deaths were documented for Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,680. This includes two Kay County females that were both in the 65 or older age group. One virus-related death was also reported for a Payne County male in the 65 or older age group.
A total of 77 new COVID-19 cases were also reported for Kay County on Wednesday. This puts the county’s stats to 1,696 COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths and 1,321 recoveries. As for the active cases in the county, there are 258 for Ponca City, 49 for Blackwell, 32 for Newkirk, 19 for Tonkawa and three each for Braman and Kaw City. OSDH is also reporting 3,659 new recoveries for Wednesday to put the statewide recovery total to 149,345. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Latest information from health officials as of Tuesday shows that 1,848,563 test results in Oklahoma have returned negative. There have been 11,708 total hospitalizations and 1,604 individuals with COVID-19 cases were currently hospitalized.
