Kay County sees eight new COVID-19 cases Monday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 665 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Oct. 5. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 91,982 COVID-19 cases as 12,772 cases are active.

Three additional virus-related deaths were reported Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,055. This includes a Beckham County male, Tulsa County male and Muskogee County female that were all in the 65 or older age group.

Eight new COVID-19 cases were reported for Kay County on Monday. Kay County’s overall stats are currently 686 cases, 14 deaths and 540 recoveries. As for active cases in Kay County, there are 113 for Ponca City, twelve for Newkirk, six each for Blackwell and Tonkawa and four for Kaw City.

For new cases in local counties, there are 15 for Garfield, six each for Osage and Payne, five for Logan, two for Washington and one each for Noble and Pawnee.

Kay County – 686 cases/14 deaths/540 recoveries

Logan County – 569 cases/2 deaths/440 recoveries

Pawnee County – 264 cases/4 deaths/241 recoveries

Noble County – 161 cases/3 deaths/141 recoveries

Grant County – 55 cases/1 death/42 recoveries

 

OSDH is also reporting 549 new recoveries for Oklahoma on Monday, putting the statewide recovery total to 78,155. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 1,140,601 test results have returned negative. There have been 6,569 total hospitalizations as 623 people are currently hospitalized.
