The Ponca City News reports that the Kay County Health Department at 1706 S Main St. in Blackwell will be having a curbside COVID-19 testing site on Thursday, April 9.
The Kay County Health Department in Blackwell wants to encourage individuals 18 years of age and older that are experiencing a fever of 100.4, a cough, and/or shortness of breath should contact the Kay County Health Department at 580-762-1641 to schedule an appointment. You will need to specify if you want to schedule your appointment at the Blackwell location. The testing is free and does not require insurance. Instructions for utilizing the curbside testing will be provided at the time the appointment is made.
A physician’s order is not needed in order to be tested through the Health Department’s curbside testing option. However, we do encourage established patients seeking testing to contact their primary care provider.
Remember that the COVID-19 testing at the Kay County Health Department in Blackwell will only be on Thursday, is being done curbside, by appointment only and individuals must remain in their vehicles at all times.
