Fire crews with the Ponca City Fire Department responded to a house fire that started before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 900 block of south 4th Street.
Fire crews were still on the scene at 8:30 a.m. According to scanner reports, the house fire may have been started by a space heater.
During the same time as the house fire, a three-vehicle accident occurred nearby at the intersection of 5th Street and South Avenue. Police, ambulance and a fire crew responded to the accident which did involve children. One juvenile male was transported to the hospital.
