A personal injury collision occurred at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday on County Road N3660 approximately 3/10TH mile north of State Highway 11, approximately 8 mile west of Pawhuska in Osage County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s report, Caleb G. Drummond, 21, of Pawhuska was driving a 2007 Himmat Fire Truck southbound County Road N3660 and Ladd A. Drummond, 52, of Pawhuska was driving a 2008 Himmat Fire Truck northbound on County Road N3660.
Due to high winds on a gravel road, visibility was decreased causing Caleb and Ladd’s fire trucks to hit head on. Caleb was ejected from his vehicle approximately 70 feet from point of rest.
Caleb was transported by Pawhuska EMS to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries. Ladd refused treatment at the scene.
The accident was investigated by: Trooper James Armstrong #246 of the Osage County Detachment. Assisted by Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Pawhuska Fire Department, Pawhuska EMS and numerous volunteer fire departments.
