Tonkawa Public Schools looks to begin the groundbreaking for the additional Grade School this month.
The new addition will include two new classrooms and bathrooms as they will be added to the north end of the grade school facility. The bid was awarded by School General Contractor Bryan Hembree. The addition was made possible following a Sept. 10 bond issue for $925,000 approved by Tonkawa schools..
$8,000 was set aside for the school while $125,000 was set aside for security improvements for the entire Tonkawa school system.
