The City of Ponca City and volunteers from local churches are hosting a Great Day of Service during the annual Spring Cleanup scheduled from March 28 through April 4, 2020. This event has proven to be very successful since it was first created back in 2016.
In an effort to assist those citizens who cannot maintain or improve their property, local church volunteers will perform community service projects for those in need on Sunday, March 29, 2020. Examples of the projects include yard work, cleanup of debris, sweeping/raking, and minor repairs. Anyone interested in assistance may contact French McLemore at First Baptist Church at (580) 765-4427 before March 15.
Landfill fees will be waived during Spring Cleanup to allow residents to improve their property and neighborhood by the removal of trash, junk, and other accumulated debris. Voluntary compliance with City ordinances is always the first and most desirable response to any Code enforcement action. Therefore, participation in this free cleanup effort will be greatly appreciated.
