On Monday, March 22, Ponca City Firefighter Landon Carpenter, 28, was a part of a medical transport in the Tulsa area. Due to the rain causing roadways to be wet, the ambulance he was in hydroplaned, departed the roadway and rolled numerous times. You can read the Ponca Post article on the accident by clicking here.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report shared that Carpenter was transported to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where he was placed in the Neuro Trauma ICU with multiple fractures to his back, neck, and ribs. He is currently stable, but he and his family face some challenges ahead with his recovery.
