The latest information from the Oklahoma State Department of Health on Thursday shows that there are four new COVID-19 cases in Kay County to bring the county’s overall total to 64 cases since testing started. As of Thursday, there are nine active cases in Kay County.
As for surrounding counties, Payne County has five new COVID-19 cases, and Osage and Logan counties both have one new case. Overall stats for local counties are posted below.
- Osage County- 104 cases overall/8 deaths/89 recoveries
- Kay County – 64 cases overall/7 deaths/48 recoveries
- Payne County – 60 cases overall/1 death/45 recoveries
- Pawnee County – 35 cases overall/2 deaths/30 recoveries
- Garfield County – 31 cases overall/1 death/25 recoveries
- Logan County – 22 cases overall/1 death/18 recoveries
- Noble County – 7 cases overall/no deaths/7 recoveries
- Grant County – 2 cases overall/no deaths/2 recoveries
Statewide, OSDH is reporting another big jump as 146 more Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the overall total to 7,626 cases since testing started. As of Thursday morning, there are 1,363 active COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma.
Two additional virus-related deaths occurred between June 1 and June 9 as Oklahoma’s death toll is now at 357.
- A Tulsa County female in the 65 or older age group.
- A McCurtain County female in the 50-64 age group.
New data also shows that 97 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19, putting the state’s total of recoveries at 6,263. As of Thursday, 233,819 test results have returned negative. Officials say there have been 1,092 hospitalizations, and 153 individuals are currently hospitalized.
