Flood Watch in effect for northern Oklahoma on Monday

The National Weather Service has placed Kay County and much of the central and western half of Oklahoma under a Flood Watch which goes until Tuesday evening.

Other counties besides Kay that are included in the watch are

Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Garfield, Noble, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine, Kingfisher, Logan, Payne, Beckham, Washita, Caddo, Canadian, Oklahoma, Lincoln, Grady, McClain, Cleveland, Pottawatomie, Harmon, Greer, Kiowa, Jackson and Comanche.

According to NWS Norman, flooding of creeks, rivers and low lying areas are possible across portions of central, northern and northwest Oklahoma.

Locally heavy rainfall will be likely until Tuesday evening. Some areas could see over 3 inches of rain.
