Flood Advisory for Grant County

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Advisory for Grant County in northern Oklahoma until 11:30 a.m. Friday morning.

At 833 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Medford, Pond Creek, Lamont, Wakita, Nash, Deer Creek, Manchester, Jefferson and Renfrow.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots. Turn around, don`t drown.
