An Edmond, Ok. man with connections to Ponca City was injured in a collision that occurred at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 35 north bound just north of NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City in Oklahoma County.
Just Pappan, 43, of Edmond was driving a 2003 Chevy Suburban north bound on I-35 at a high rate of speed. This caused Pappan,s vehicle to depart the roadway to the left, overturn and land on its top. Pappan was pinned for approximately 20 minutes before being extricated by the Oklahoma City Fire Department utilizing the HURST tool.
Pappan was later transported by EMSA to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in fair condition with arm injuries.
Snow was on the roadway during that time.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jason Owens #794 of the Metro detachment of Troop A. Assisted by Major Ronnie Hampton #8, Lt.
