Oklahoma Department of Transportation says to plan on construction along Interstate 35. I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between U.S. 60 and State Highway 15 near Tonkawa. The speed limit is reduced in the work zone.
This project contains a nearly $2 million contract awarded to Logos Construction Co., of Sapulpa. Project includes rehabilitation of the I-35 bridges over the Salt Fork of the Arkansas River near Tonkawa. The work is focused on repairing the substructures of the bridges and bridge joints. While the work may not be visible to motorists at times, the lane closures are necessary to help protect the crews and equipment working underneath the bridge.
Work is expected to be completed in summer 2021.
