The City of Winfield, Ks. announced Monday that they have voted unanimously for an ordinance concerning mandating the use of face masks in public in Winfield.
According to local sources out of Wichita, the ordinance will go into effect this Friday. The unanimous vote comes just three days after the Cowley County Commission voted to reject an executive order from Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly requiring the use of face coverings in public to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
And in Oklahoma, Stillwater Press is reporting that members of the Stillwater City Council voted unanimously Monday to advance an ordinance requiring people throughout Stillwater to wear face coverings in public..
