The City is looking to hire an Environmental Services Director!
The Director will assume full management responsibility for all Environmental Services Department service and activities including landfill, solid waste, water and wastewater treatment and maintenance; recommend and administer policies and procedures.
Environmental Services provides solid waste, water and wastewater services, while protecting public health and meeting all state and federal environmental regulations. There are 76 full time employees in these operations with combined budgets of 20 million for the fiscal year 2021-22. The City has excellent relations with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Oklahoma Water Resources Board as well as State and Federal legislative delegations.
Experience:
Six years of increasingly responsible experience in public works, environmental or engineering including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Training:
Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, political science, environmental science, engineering or a related field.
License or Certificate
Certification as a professional engineer in Oklahoma is required.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
