Blackwell’s proposed school bond passes following Tuesday’s election

Following Tuesday’s election in Blackwell, a majority of residents said YES to the proposed school bond.

According to the Blackwell Journal-Tribune, the bond passed with 80% of voters approving the renovation of the Blackwell High School and Campus. This bond is in the amount of $23,550,000.00 for 15 years. School Bonds are based on property taxes that is in the Blackwell School District only, not local sales tax. This bond issue is to replace the Elementary School Bond; which expires in June of 2022.
