On Thursday night, the Blackwell City Council approved an amendment to a juvenile curfew ordinance in effect immediately.
The curfew means that juveniles under the age of 18 are not to be out in the city of Blackwell between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The curfew is in response to COVID-19 and the 24 cases and 1 death reported in Kay County. The curfew will be in effect as long as the Emergency Proclamation related to the COVID-19 pandemic is in full force and effect.
