The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,915 new positive COVID-19 cases for Thursday, Nov. 19. Oklahoma’s seen 164,340 COVID-19 cases overall as 30,484 cases are active.
18 additional virus-related deaths were documented Thursday to put the statewide death toll to 1,588. None of the deaths were local.
Kay County saw one of it’s highest increases in a single day with 90 new COVID-19 cases. This puts the county’s stats to 1,434 COVID-19 cases, 21 deaths and 1,099 recoveries. As for the 314 active cases for Kay County, there are 248 for Ponca City, 41 for Blackwell, 33 for Newkirk, 21 for Tonkawa, five for Kaw City and one for Braman.
For new cases in local counties, there are 56 for Payne, 55 for Garfield, 21 for Logan, 20 for Osage, 17 for Washington and three each for Grant, Noble and Pawnee

OSDH is also reporting 2,236 new recoveries for Thursday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 132,268. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
