$9.84 million patching project is set on U.S. 166 in Sumner County

A $9.84 million patching project on U.S. 166 in Sumner County will begin soon.

 

The Kansas Department of Transportation project involves concrete patching on U.S. 166 from the U.S. 81 junction on the north side of South Haven east to 400 feet past the Rock Road intersection. The length is about 9 miles.

The project is expected to begin around April 4 and be completed around mid-September.

 

During the work, traffic will be controlled by a pilot car and traffic control signals. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

 

Cornejo & Sons, of Wichita, is the primary contractor for the $9,844,401 project.
