The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 576 new COVID-19 cases Friday, November 5.
According to the situation report from Friday, Oklahoma’s now seen 648,209 COVID-19 cases since early 2020. There are currently 5,142 active COVID-19 cases in the state. The New Cases 7 Day Average is 604. The CDC Provisional Death Count is 11,481.
According to the latest data from Wednesday, November 2, Kay County has seen an overall total of 7,389 COVID-19 cases, 166 deaths and 7,062 recoveries. Kay County has 161 active COVID-19 cases, which is 5 less compared to the week of October 27.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 4,405,452 doses have been administered. This includes 2,329,449 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose and 1,965,685 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
