Officials responded to a water-related incident that occurred at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday at Skiatook Lake in Osage County.
A 4-year-old male juvenile from the small community of Prue in Osage County was wading in approximately two and half feet of water with a noodle at Twin Point Swim Beach at Skiatook Lake. The mother of the victim was on the bank and turned to check on her other child, when she turned back around and noticed the victim was belly side down in the water. The mother grabbed the victim out of the water and started CPR. After a few breaths and hitting the victim on the back, the victim spit up water and started breathing normally.
The victim was transported by Hominy EMS to Saint Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma in Tulsa County for observation. He was then treated and released.
The incident was investigated by OHP Trooper Gary Freeny#277, Assisted by Osage County Sheriff Department, Osage Nation, and Hominy EMS.
