A fatality incident occurred at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday at 7819 East 80th Street, located 4 miles south and 6 miles east of Stillwater in Payne County.
Adam Wyatt Quimby, 30, was using his 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup to back up a 2-horse trailer and did not see a 3-year-old male juvenile who was then struck by the vehicle’s left rear tire. The male juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene from head and trunk internal injuries. Quimby was not injured.
The accident was investigated by Lt Gabe Leach #167 of the Troop K Detachment. Assisted by Lt Phillip Ludwyck #155 of the Troop K Detachment, Payne County Sheriff’s Office, and LifeNet Ambulance.
