The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs, now ranked #2 in NJCAA Division 2, swept Pratt (KS) in a doubleheader Monday in Tonkawa 11-10 and 13-6.
NOC’s record is 13-3.
In Game 1, the Mavs blasted out to an early lead then held on to an 11-10 win over Pratt.
The Mavs led 6-1 early and then 11-7 after six before holding on 11-10.
Jacob Ellis was the starter and winner for the Mavs, Kirby Lohrengal earned the save allowing one hit and striking out two.
Holden Bartosovsky led an 11 hit attack with three hits including a double and two runs batted in. Barrett Rose homered and drove in two for the Mavs while Levi Hauter and Sam Shank added two runs batted in each.
In Game 2, Bo Charboneau had three hits including a triple, double, and four runs batted in.
Barrett Rose had two doubles while Geovanni Blackshaw had two hits.
Blake Hubbard started on the hill, allowing five runs on six hits on a windy day in Tonkawa.
