The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,729 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Nov. 16. Oklahoma’s seen 156,857 COVID-19 cases overall as 29,157 cases are active.
10 additional virus-related deaths were documented Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,538. One death being an Osage County female in the 50-64 age group. Osage County has now seen 18 virus-related deaths.
Kay County saw an increase with 37 new COVID-19 cases. This put’s Kay County’s stats to 1,289 COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths and 976 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, there are 185 for Ponca City, 46 for Blackwell, 34 for Newkirk, 22 for Tonkawa, five for Kaw City and two for Braman. OSDH is also reporting 1,369 new recoveries for Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 126,162. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Latest information from health officials as of Friday, Nov. 13 shows that 1,653,599 test results in Oklahoma have returned negative. There have been 10,417 total hospitalizations and 1,247 individuals were currently hospitalized as of Friday.
