The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported on Saturday, May 16, that there are 151 new COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 5,237 since testing started.
The numbers from late Friday show the following results for local counties in northern Oklahoma.
- Osage County – 91 cases/8 deaths/64 recoveries
- Kay County – 49 cases/7 deaths/39 recoveries
- Payne County – 44 cases/1 death/42 recoveries
- Pawnee County – 29 cases/2 deaths/24 recoveries
- Garfield County – 23 cases/1 death/14 recoveries
- Logan County – 18 cases/1 death/16 recoveries
- Noble County – 7 cases/no deaths/6 recoveries
- Grant County – 2 cases/no deaths/2 recoveries
Three more Oklahomans have died from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s death toll to 288. The deaths are believed to have happened April 30 and May 13.
- An Oklahoma County man in the 50-64 age group.
- A Caddo County man in the 65 or older age group.
- A Cleveland County man in the 65 or older age group.
OSDH also reports that as of Saturday, 117,807 test results showed as negative, there have been 878 hospitalizations and 180 people in Oklahoma are currently hospitalized.
Nearly 4,000 Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19. There are 144 new recoveries for Saturday, as the overall total is at 3,945.
