The Oklahoma State Department of Health’s reporting 1,121 new positive COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, Oct. 14. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 102,614 COVID-19 cases. As of Tuesday, 13,852 cases were active.
12 additional virus-related deaths were documented Wednesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,131. None of the deaths occurred in northern Oklahoma.
Kay County has 12 new COVID-19 cases to put the stats to 771 cases, 15 deaths and 646 recoveries. As for active cases in the counties, there are 78 for Ponca City, 14 for Newkirk, 11 for Blackwell, eight for Tonkawa and four for Kaw City.
For new cases in local counties, there are 15 for Garfield, 14 for Washington, 13 for Payne, 11 for Logan, two for Grant and one each for Noble and Osage.

OSDH is also reporting 1,053 new recoveries for Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 87,575. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Wednesday, there have been 1,283,054 total negative specimen, 7,529 total hospitalizations and 749 patients are currently hospitalized.
