OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Ken Luttrell, R-Ponca City, recently hosted two outstanding high school seniors as pages at the Oklahoma House of Representatives during the sixth week of the First Session of the 60th Legislature.

Peyton Jones, a senior at Ponca City High School, served as a page during the sixth week of session. Jones, from Ponca City, plans to attend Oklahoma State University to major in pre-law or business. Jones has achieved impressive academic recognition, including being named to the principal/superintendent honor roll and earning the community service medallion. Additionally, Jones received the best attorney/witness award. She is an active member of Key Club, mock trials, student council, theatre, National Honor Society and youth traffic court. Jones aspires to become a judge in family court.

Also serving during the sixth week was Talon Lane, a senior at Ponca City High School. Lane plans to attend OSU after completing an associate’s degree at Northern Oklahoma College, with intentions to major in business. Lane maintains a 4.0 GPA in both high school and college and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Lane also excels in varsity swing and owns a jewelry business. In the future, Lane hopes to obtain a private pilot’s license, pursue a doctoral program and eventually own a jewelry business or an insurance company.

“It was a pleasure to have Peyton and Talon serve as pages at the Capitol,” Luttrell said. “Their academic accomplishments and commitment to leadership are truly commendable. I look forward to watching their continued success and bright futures.”

Luttrell, a Republican, represents House District 37 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He is dedicated to supporting young people in his community and creating opportunities for them to engage with state government.

The House High School Page Program is open to juniors and seniors. Pages are assigned for one week, Monday through Thursday, where they work in the House Chamber during daily session, assist representatives and House staff, and participate in the House Page Mock Legislature.

Ken Luttrell serves District 37 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. His district includes parts of Kay and Osage county.
