Ponca City Senior Pages at OK House

OKLAHOMA CITY – Madeline Shear, a senior at Ponca City High School, recently served as a page for Rep. Ken Luttrell, R-Ponca City, during the eleventh week of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature.

Shear is an accomplished student with a 4.07 GPA and has excelled in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. She serves as band president, participates in symphony orchestra and theatre, and has been recognized as the best overall lawyer at regional mock trial competitions. She has also qualified for the state level in National History Day.

Shear plans to attend Oklahoma State University to double major in elementary education and early childhood psychology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in Germany.

“Madeline is an outstanding example of the talent and drive we see in Oklahoma’s youth,” Luttrell said. “Her academic achievements and passion for leadership are impressive, and I was honored to have her serve at the Capitol.”

Luttrell represents House District 37 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He is a proud supporter of education and opportunities that help prepare students for future success.

The House High School Page Program is open to juniors and seniors. Pages work at the Capitol Monday through Thursday, assisting representatives and staff and participating in a mock legislative session.
