Ponca City Energy crews continue to make repairs to the electric system damaged by 70 mph winds that occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning.
Drivers are asked to please avoid Lake Road, between Kygar Road and 14th Street, while repairs are underway and tree debris is being removed.
As of this release, there are approximately 670 homes currently without power, 145 in the Cleary/Hillcrest area, 314 in the Rosedale/Goldenrod and LA Cann area, and 211 scattered around the city.
