The Ponca City East Middle School Band earned one Superior rating and two Excellent ratings (resulting in an overall Excellent rating) and a Superior rating in Sight-Reading at the OSSAA State Middle School Contest held at Edmond Santa Fe High School. The group performed The Cliffs of Mendocino by Alan Lee Silva and Excelsior! by William Owens.
Jason Salazar would like to give a special thank you to all the EMS students for their hard work and dedication, as well as to Trent Davis, Conner Pratt, Susan Clothier, and Jeff Kidwell for their support in preparing the group for the contest. We would also like to extend our thanks to Chad Keilman for driving the bus and to Paula Cochran for her support.

This concert will feature the 6th-8th grade bands, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and the Wildcat Jazz Band.
All band concerts begin at 7:00 PM and are free to the public.
